Privacy notice
Effective 8 October 2026. Last updated 8 October 2026.
In short: we collect only what you send when you request a demo, we use it only to answer you, we keep it for 12 months, and we never sell it. This site has no cookies, no analytics and no trackers.
Who we are and what this covers
OnFaktor is a product of YLEM Lab LLC, a company in the United States. In this notice, “we” means YLEM Lab LLC, which is responsible for the personal information described here.
This notice covers this website, onfaktor.com, and its demo-request form. It does not cover the OnFaktor apps a customer runs, or the data their plant records in them: that is covered by the customer’s agreement with us.
What we collect
What you send us. When you request a demo: your name, work email, company and plant size. If you choose to add them: your role, where you are, what you make, and your message.
What your browser sends. When you send the form, our server sees your IP address. We use it to stop spam: it limits repeated requests for up to an hour, and it is written in our server logs when a request is refused. We do not keep a log of visits to this website.
We do not buy information about you, and we do not collect it from other sources.
Why we use it
We use what you send only for these purposes:
- to read your request and reply to you;
- to set up your demo account, if we agree on one, and to follow up about that request;
- to keep the form safe from spam and abuse;
- to meet a legal duty, if the law requires it.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom: we answer your request because you asked us to, before any agreement, and we protect the form because we have a legitimate interest in keeping it safe.
We do not use it for advertising, we do not put you on a mailing list, and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Do Not Track
Because this site does not track you, a Do Not Track signal or Global Privacy Control from your browser changes nothing here: every visitor is treated as if they had sent one.
Where it is kept, and for how long
On a server in the United States (Boston, Massachusetts), run by Hostinger for us. If you are outside the United States, your request is stored there.
- Demo requests: 12 months after we last hear from you, then deleted. If you become a customer, what you sent becomes part of your account and is kept as your agreement says.
- Backups: a nightly copy of the server, kept for 7 days.
- Logs of refused requests: overwritten automatically as they fill up.
Security
The site and the form use HTTPS only. The server accepts only the connections it needs, and only YLEM Lab’s own staff can read demo requests, after signing in. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed; if it ever is, and it affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
Write to demo@onfaktor.com to:
- see what we hold about you;
- correct it;
- delete it;
- get a copy of it;
- object to how we use it.
We reply within 30 days. To protect you, we answer at the email address you sent the request from.
California residents: we do not sell or share your personal information, and you can ask what we hold and have it deleted, as above.
European Union and United Kingdom: you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information about them. If you think a child has sent us information, write to us and we will delete it.
Other websites
This site links to other sites, such as the OnFaktor demo, ylemlab.com and the sources we quote. They have their own privacy notices; this one does not cover them.
Changes to this notice
When we change this notice, we post the new version here with a new date at the top. If a change affects what we collect or how we use it, we also say so on the home page for 30 days.
